WHAT IS YOUR STYLE?
Though photographing a wedding asks for many different types of styles, we consider ourselves to be mainly a combination photojournalism and contemporary portraiture. Our focus is in capturing the honest, intimate, and humorous moments of your special day.
DO YOU PROVIDE ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS
Yes we do! An engagement session can be added to any package for a starting rate of $350. We actually encourage these sessions so that you can become familiar with our style of photography. It also helps in becoming comfortable with us – and being photographed by us – before your big day.
HOW LONG DO FORMAL PORTRAITS TAKE?
Formals (family, bridal party, and the two of you) can take anywhere between 45 minutes to 1 hour all together. Depending on the size of the family/bridal party, we make sure we get as many photos in a timely manner without making people feel over photographed. For the bride and groom, we spend more time photographing you to assure we have a good variety of locations and poses.
DO YOU ALWAYS INCLUDE A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER?
All packages include a second photographer to add another eye to the day. While I cover the formals and the important moments, my assistant will make sure all other details and candids are covered.
WHAT IS THE USUAL TURNAROUND TIME FOR YOUR IMAGES?
You are able to view your images in an online gallery within 10 to 14 days. We also have a small teaser ready by the Wednesday after your wedding.
WHAT KIND OF ALBUMS DO YOU PROVIDE & WHAT IS THE TURNAROUND TIME FOR ALBUMS?
The average turnaround time for an album can take anywhere from 3 to 6 months depending mostly on your input. We do albums from the contemporary flush mount trend to the traditional styling of your parents’ old albums, and almost everything in between. Check out our albums here! Once you chose which images you want to include, we design a layout and work together on making changes or adjustments – all to ensure that you are happy with the end result.
ARE YOU GAY FRIENDLY?
Of course we are! It’s 2017!
DO YOU TRAVEL?
Though we focus mainly on the Greater Boston Area our travels have gone as far as Northern Maine to the boroughs of New York City to the windy city of Chicago, and everywhere in between! Also if your wedding location includes sand, sun and hot weather, we’re not likely to turn you down either.
DO YOU HAVE LIABILITY INSURANCE?
Yes we are fully covered. Be it rain, snow, earthquake, End of the World or children… we are covered.
WHAT KIND OF CAMERA DO YOU USE? DO YOU HAVE BACKUPS?
I use top of the line Canon equipment, and my assistant uses equal or comparable equipment.
WHO OWNS THE RIGHTS TO THE IMAGES?
There are shared rights to the images taken on your wedding day. While Dan Aguirre Photography retains all rights to the images, you also have a special license to use the images however you like. Yes, that does include Facebook and Instagram.
ARE OUR IMAGES WATERMARKED?
Rest assured, the final images that you receive will be free of any visible watermark or label. No discrepancies – just your photos.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO WE NEED TO BOOK YOU?
The earlier the better! If you have a special date in mind, feel free to contact me as soon as you can. I commonly meet with couples anywhere between 6 months to 1 year before their wedding date. However, I have met with couples as short as 2 weeks before, and as long as 18 months in advance.
HOW DO WE BOOK YOU?
Before we take any big steps, I always encourage you to meet with vendors before your wedding, including myself. This can be done facetoface over coffee, over the phone or skype. If you would like to go forward and book us, there is a $400 deposit as well as a contract to sign.
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO CONTACT YOU?
Email and phone are the best ways. I’m available to contact most weekdays between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM, and on weekends 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. If I don’t answer immediately I will get back to you within 48 hours.
